A New Driver is a driving school run by James Hickey whose attention to detail in instruction is well above standard. At A New Driver we make sure that all our students learn to drive safely, confidently and comfortably.

James is a fully qualified extremely patient driving instructor having gained valuable experience both in the U.K (New Driver) and here in Dublin (ISM) with these Driving Schools. James did all his driving instructor training in the U.K passing all my exams under the strict scrutiny of the Driving Standards Agency (D.S.A),having obtained the qualification A.D.I. Approved Driving Instructor.

James has just recently completed all the RSA ADI exams. He is now a fully qualified RSA ADI (APPROVED DRIVING INSTRUCTOR).

James set up his own driving school company in August 2005 and has had no shortage of successful and happy clients who highly recommend him for both driving lessons and pretests.

James is also involved in the teaching of Drivers Education in secondary schools from transition year to 5th year students with the Steer-Clear programme. Having successfully ran his first course in Malahide Community School where all 20 pupils passed with flying colours. This is a new course designed at changing the driving habits of the drivers of the future.
